NEED HELP columnas
Buen dia a todos
No podemos actualizar excel en Powerbi, porque un mensaje de error indica se ha superado el limite maximo de columnas en todas las tablas del modelo..lo cual no es correcto...dice 16,459 sobre un máximo de 16,000 columnas...
Cómo corregimos ese "error"?

Hi i am wrting in English, you need to clean the source file in Power Query, remove unecessay columns and some times excel treat ghost data and treat them as column and in reality that is not correct.
Check excel file it should not have any empty tables in there.

16.000 columns is the maximum allowed in a Power BI semantic model has you can see in the limitations and considerations
My question is do you need a semantic model with 16.000 columns? has refered by other super users you must clean up your model and understand what is used or not in your report and your semantic model one good option is to use the Measure Killer that alllows to check your full semantic model and your reports for unused columns, and measures.

I always go by the quote just use what you need sometimes people tend to add everything to their models because they will need it in the future and from my experience most of the time you don't need everything.
Go to the Excel file
Select the column after your data (empty column)
press ctrl+right
right click on one of them and select delete column.

Hola. Podrías se un poco más descriptivo? mostrar literal el error que sale. Por favor describe más tu escenario, explicanos como es tu modelo. Realmente tienes un modelo de muchas columnas en excel? estas modelando con alguna tecnica o cargando tablas? que volumen de datos hay?
No había visto nunca un error semejante, pero si realmente tienes miles de columnas, te diría que lo primero para que valga la pena el informe, sería reducir esas columnas o solamente cargar las que vayas a usar dentro de power bi removiendo las otras en power query.

Te sugiero revisar si realmente necesitas una tabla con tantas columnas.
NO es recomendable usar tablas con tantas columnas para el manejo de datos, es preferible generar tablas con pocas columnas y muchas filas. Una opción es generar la misma tabla pero transpuesta.
Por otra parte, por favor precisar qué quieres decir con "actualizar excel en powerbi"; no es claro a qué te refieres: se puede entender por ejemplo que tienes un archivo de power bi con una consulta o varias consultas relacionadas con un archivo o varios archivos de excel cuyo etl realizas con power query. Otra posible situación es que ya tengas un modelo en power bi y exportes una tabla a excel y supera la capacidad disponible.Guten Morgen Laura,
bei über 16.000 Spalten stellt sich die Frage, ob die Datenstruktur nicht grundsätzlich überdacht werden sollte. Da es aber nun einmal so ist, wie es ist, hast Du schon versucht die Quelldaten vor dem Import, also erstmal in Excel zu transponieren (zu vertauschen) und die transponierten Daten zu laden?
