Help needed for the slicers

Hi Everyone,

Please refer the image below

Avivek_0-1647330030418.png

On the top of the report we see 3 bookmarks-Spine, GPS and All and we can see 8 different graph chart. When Spine is selected then every graph chart will have a visual level filter applied and data will filter according to that.  When GPS is selected then the visual level filter changes for all the graph chart and same thing will happen when all is selected.

Now, if I want to give Spine, GPS and All in a slicer instead of bookmark will the visual level filter for individual graph chart be applied on selecting them from the slicer instead of bookmark

For ex. If I select Spine then graph 1 will have a visual level filter as 1, graph 2 will have visual level filter as 2, graph 3 will have visual level filter as 3...... But when GPS is selected then graph 1 will have a visual level filter as 11, graph 2 will have visual level filter as 12, graph 3 will have visual level filter as 13.

But can these visual level filters work in a similar way if instead of bookmark we use a slicer.

Hi @Avivek ,

Could you please tell me do you want to control different visual effected by slicers?

Please try to use Edit interactions.

Check the slicer, then click the format>>Edit interactions.

Filter controls,

each with a Filter and a None option, appear above all the visuals on the page. Initially, the Filter option is preselected on all the controls.

Select the None option in the filter control .

More details: Control which page visuals are affected by slicers

If I have misunderstood your meaning, please provide your pbix file and your desired output with more details.

Best Regards

@Avivek , In case these three are values in a dimension (row values) - Spine, GPS and All . You should be able to use a slicer with horizontal orientation , so that they will look like button

With bookmark, you can right on bookmark name and uncheck data so that filter can pass.

Hi @amitchandak , sorry for not being clear. My concern is not the way the slicer will look but can I put different filters for each of these columns ie. spine, gps and all when they are used from a slicer instead of bookmark.
