Help multi select filters, and the possibility of linking each result to an independent visual

Hey,

Not sure if this is posisble but I'm trying to link a matrix to individual visuals, and by that, I mean select multiple results from a matrix and have each of the results show independently on separate visuals.

The reason for this is I have a range of locations that I want to see the patterns of the results (4 lines on a chart) but the results have to be separated per location for readability.

I currently have 4 line charts and if I select one location it displays the correct outcome but over all 4 charts, if I select another selection in the matrix, it sums the outcomes, which is not what I want, I want one result in the first, and another in the second and so on.

I have currently got filters for location linked separately to each line chart, but this doesn't filter back to the matrix and map when more than one filter is selected.

Hopefully I have explained myself well enough here, it may not be possible an may be entering the realms of custom visualisations.

To my knowledge, it could not achieve in power bi for now. And the first choice link to one visual, second choice link to second visual, etc. This will lead to confusion.

So you could use different slicer(or matrix) to achieve your requirement but not use only one slicer(or matrix).

@magnifybi , not very clear. As of matrix will either filter or do not filter line chart using interactions

Hey amitchandak,

I know what a matrix does generally, but was wondering if there is anyway around it.

Or if there is a way to combine the selections from individual filters into the one table?
