Hello everyone,
I have what I believe is an easy-to-solve challenge, but I can't wrap my head around it. I'm hoping someone here can show me how to do it. Thank you in advance for taking the time to help!
I have a table containing simple price records, and I would like to transpose it into an additional table so that I can use it to create line charts.
Original Table of Price Records:
Name | Valid Start | Valid End | Price Min | Price Max |
------------ | --------------- | --------------- | --------------- | --------------- |
Apple | 2024-10-01 | 2024-12-31 | 5 | 7 |
Apple | 2025-01-01 | 2030-12-31 | 7 | 7 |
Banana | 2024-10-01 | 2030-12-31 | 3 | 3 |
--- | ||||
Desired Transposed Table for Chart Visualization: | ||||
Period | Apple-Min | Apple-Max | Banana-Min | Banana-Max |
------------ | --------------- | --------------- | ---------------- | ---------------- |
2024-10 | 5 | 7 | 3 | 3 |
2024-11 | 5 | 7 | 3 | 3 |
2024-12 | 5 | 7 | 3 | 3 |
2025-01 | 7 | 7 | 3 | 3 |
2025-02 | 7 | 7 | 3 | 3 |
etc. | ||||
