Help! I want to hide data that is showing on visuals because of a slicer and because of "First"

Hi, sorry If I can't make this clearer.

Basically, I have a dashboard with visuals and slicers, when people drill down and select certain data or filters from the slicer it is showing the correct data. However, when no filters are pressed, the visual will always show the "First" data rather than leaving it blank! How do I go about changing this?

For example,

Category A - 1

Category B - 2

But if I wanted to show the overall Category, it still shows as "1" as it is the "First". I don't want to show an average as not all my data is numerical but rather I would prefer it to show as blank. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you!
