Hello,
I have an assignment to create some visualizations using data from https://www.kaggle.com/heesoo37/120-years-of-olympic-history-athletes-and-results/discussion/120222.
I am new to excel and power BI and was wondering if someone could teach me how to do this. I've tried playing around with it but they aren't turning out quite how I would expect. I would like to create a map of the top 10 medals by country and also a table to list the top 10 male athletes by height.
Any help appreciated.

@Wunderful - View the attached PBIX file and let me know if that's what I was looking for to accomplish. If so, we can explain what I did or you may be able to find out by looking at the settings around. PBIX is below sig.
Hi @Anonymous ,
You may create measures like DAX below, then go to Filter pane, set the relative Ranking field as Top 10.
Ranking Gold medals =
RANKX (
CALCULATETABLE ( VALUES ( Table1[Country] ), ALLSELECTED ( Table1[Country] ) ),
[Gold medal Amount]
)
Ranking Height =
RANKX (
CALCULATETABLE ( VALUES ( Table1[Athlete name] ), ALLSELECTED ( Table1[[Athlete name] ) ),
[Height]
)
Best Regards,
Amy

Hello,
It looks like what I am going for. I'll take a look at the settings and see if I can figure it out. Otherwise I'll come back and ask how you did it.
Thanks,
AB
