Heat map with static point

Hi everyone,

Currently, we are trying to create a map that shows the population density and the stores locations. We have tried using the heat map visual for this but we could not find a way to add statict point. Please find below how the map should look like.

We have tried some other visuals like MapBox or ArcGis maps but nothing seems to work.  Does anybody have a recommendation or have experienced the same issue and solved it? Thanks in advances for your help.

Even though I couldn't mange to make it work, I highly recommend this page where you can get the 6digit post codes latitude and longitude per country.

Hi,

I assume the map is interactive to a certain extent, you need to zoom in/out, right? Also, the red squares are the the only static points you your data set or there will be others on the global map? To rephrase, are those the only 3 locations or are there other locations in other cities?

If it were only those, you could've probably gotten away with super-imposing a locations map over the heat-map and change the transparency settings on the first map. You may also set the correct layer order so they are always rendered in the right order (locations over heat-map).

I never tested it but you may try it. However, it may not work if you "move" the heat-map to another city where you have different locations (unless the maps are somewhat synced).

Best,

Hi MNedix,

Thank you so much for your answer. Actually, we have more than 3 static points as stores locations and they are all spread out in different cities. When using the heat map for the population density (Location value: 6 digit post code), it always zoom out and we have to manually zoom in into the city we are analizing, which it is quite annoying. I will try super-imposing the visuals but I am afraid it won't work.

Yeah, it was only a "cardboard" workaround rather than a full-blown solution.
