Having an issue connecting Excel data with SQL Server

When attempting to connect my Excel data to be used on SQL Server 2014, an error comes back with following error.

TITLE: SQL Server Import and Export Wizard
------------------------------

The operation could not be completed.

------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The requested operation requires a SqlClr context, which is only available when running in the Sql Server process. (System.Data)

------------------------------
BUTTONS:

OK
------------------------------

The reason why I am attempting to connect my Excel sheet is to use a direct query with the data from this source.

Any help would be appreciated
