[HELP] - Visual has exceeded the available resources

Hi all,

I am trying to include a measure and 70 columns into a table visual but it fails to display after the 30th column. The error message displayed is shown below.

Please advise on what I can do to troubleshoot this issue. Keeping the measure in the table is mandatory. Will upgrading my Powerbi license to Premium helps to resolve this issue? or any other alternatives ? I am using the function selected value in the measure, hence cannot create the calculated column. Need to work with measure only. I have tried experimenting with the query limit of the report setting in powerbi desktop. No luck 😞

Power BI Table Visuals have a limit of 100 columns. You cannot add more than 100 columns to a single table visual.

The question is also about the number of rows and your measure calculation. If neither can be improved, I would suggest you look for a different tool.

If you are running into problems on DESKTOP, you could try to run the desktop on a stronger machine (desktop capacity is tied to your machine). If you are running into troubles in service, the premium could help.

You could also try to use paginated report visual, but I think you will hit the limits as well.

Hi, have you thought of using less columns? Power BI visuals are not made for displaying large numbers of columns like this. Maybe pagginated reports could help, but I have my doubts.

all the 70 columns are necessary. Are there any other suggestions beside using less columns ? Do you think PowerBI premium can resolve this issue ?
