Guidance needed on calculating durations from data and then presenting these insights visually?

Hi
Please view the below sample source dataset:

I need to present the order of statuses and how long the duration (Days) was for each status, for each unique Record/Type/Sub Type row. I'll provide an example and this may help with the understanding of my aim.
Focusing on the Record of A1 and the Type of Car and then Sub Type of Delivery. Based on the above source dataset, I need to return the following:

As you can see the uniqueness of the rows is through Record/Type/Sub Type. My example focuses on A1/Car/Delivery but I need to perform the same Duration (Days) calculation for each Record/Type/Sub Type. I will position slicer visuals so the user can choose to the Durations by Record or Type or Sub Type. I hope I've explained my objective clearly.

There are two questions I have:
1) How do I write the DAX to calculate the needed?
2) Which visual(s) is most appropiate to present these durations?

I've not had this particular requirement before and so I would like your suggestions on a suitable way to complete all.

Thanks in advance.

2. Try a Sankey or a Network chart type.
