I'm using Google Analytics with Power BI for the very first time and I have a few questions on the age of the data. I am using Power BI Desktop to link with GA and all questions are relevant to the Desktop version.
1) The data that is retrieved - is it real time data or is it something else?
2) When I retrieve data, do I get all the records right from the beginning or for a specific period?
3) What is the maximum number of records that can be retrieved from GA?

Hi @Anonymous,
1. It's import mode. That means you need to refresh the queries to retrieve the new data.
2&3. There are no special limitations of GA connector from Power BI side. All the limitations are from the Google side. You can check it out here (limits-quotas). BTW, the limitations can be increased.
Best Regards!

Hi @Anonymous,
Could you please mark the proper answer as solution or share the solution if it's convenient for you? That will be a big help to the others.
Best Regards!

I'm sure you already looked at this, seems like it depends on google analytics api

@parry2k I did go through the documentation, but it doesn't answer my questions. I am at least looking to know if the data retrieved is real time or if there is a certain lag associated with it.
@Greg_Deckler @v-qiuyu-msft Can you folks help me out here please? 😞 I'm pretty confused about how the connector works and your answers would really help me!
