Get ratio per day from a table with events on Date + Time

Hello,

Source data :

I have a data table with each line correspondong to an 1 event. Each event ahs an event start date dd/mm/yyy hh/mm/ss.

Table is about 2 000 lines with 20 columns and information is strictly confidential so I can't show much more than the cropped picture above.

Goal :

I want to display a bar visual on my report which presents for each day the percentage % of events successfully completed in less than 3 hours. Some days there may be 50 events and some others 0.

  • The vertical shows percentage (0-100%). The horizontal shows by default days of the current month or months or days of one particular month (picture below)

  •  I want this visual to be independent from the slicer I have for my other visuals, and if possible have its own slicer for selecting  particular month(s). By default it would display current month's days only
  • If possible, I want to show the bar under 80% red and the bar above 80% green.

Already have :

- A calculated column (binary yes/no) determining wether the event has been successfully completed in less than 3 hours.

Difficulty encountered :

As I am relatively new to power BI, I have no idea how to achieve what I want. I nevertheless tried to think of the steps :

  1. Create a new table with each line being a day, 1 columns the day and 1 column the ratio. The table has to add a new line for each new day when needed <-- Edit : I have created a table but still struggle to calculate the column "ratio"
  2. From that table make a bar graph <-- Edit : I have successfully created a graph, except in add all data for one month through all years (march is both amrche 2020, 2021, 202...) This I know
  3. Make bars color change depending on value <-- Haven't researched this yet
  4. Make the bar graph independent from main slicer and attach it to a new slicer ? <-- Edit : parameters of the visual not displaying colors correctly

Hope I'm being clear and concise enough, any link to tutorial, tips or help with any of the steps is more than welcomed !

Hi @Anonymous ,

Is it possible to provide your template data and additionally show the results you want?

Best Regards
