Generate embed code from Power BI for sync to SharePoint

Hi all,

I am still determining if this is the right place to ask the question; I have asked this question in so many different locations and have had no lock.
What I know:
When using the Power BI desktop or service, get the embed code to add to the SharePoint online web part.
What I need help for:
I need help finding the embed option when you create a Power BI report from SharePoint lists and Libraries.

Thanks for your help and support.

Embedding a Power BI report in SharePoint involves generating an embed code from Power BI Service. Here are the steps to do it:

  1. Create a Power BI Report:

    • First, create your Power BI report in Power BI Desktop or Power BI Service. Ensure that the report is published to Power BI Service.
  2. Publish to Power BI Service:

    • If you've created the report in Power BI Desktop, publish it to Power BI Service by clicking on "Publish" in Power BI Desktop.
  3. Share the Report:

    • In Power BI Service, open the report you want to embed.
    • Click on the "File" menu, and select "Publish to web."
  4. Generate the Embed Code:

    • In the "Publish to web" dialog, you will see an option to create an embed code.
    • Click on the "Create embed code" button.
  5. Configure Embed Options:

    • You can choose the level of interactivity for your embedded report (e.g., allow users to interact with the report or view-only mode).
    • Set the expiration for the embed code if needed.
  6. Copy the Embed Code:

    • After configuring the embed options, you will see the embed code displayed on the screen.
    • Click on the "Create" or "Generate" button to generate the code.
    • Copy the generated embed code.
  7. Embed in SharePoint:

    • Now, go to your SharePoint Online site where you want to embed the Power BI report.
    • Edit the page where you want to add the report.
  8. Add a Web Part:

    • Add a "Web Part" to the SharePoint page where you want to embed the report.
  9. Embed Code Web Part:

    • In the "Web Part" options, search for or select the "Embed" web part.
  10. Paste the Embed Code:

    • Configure the "Embed" web part, and paste the Power BI embed code you copied earlier into the provided field.
  11. Save and Publish:

    • Save and publish the SharePoint page.

Your Power BI report should now be embedded within your SharePoint page.

Please note that the exact steps and options may vary slightly depending on your specific version of Power BI and SharePoint, as Microsoft may have updated their interfaces and options since my last knowledge about Power BI. Be sure to refer to the latest documentation and interface of Power BI and SharePoint for the most up-to-date instructions.
