Gateway On-promises 32bits

Hi, I have a question. I am using the power bi version 32 bit because my ODBC connection driver is 32 bits and only 32 bits. When I extract the data from the database, it does not have problems, but when I try to make the web gateway it said that the drivers are incompatible between the driver and the application, but both my driver and my power bi desktop are 32 bits. And the gateway I'm using is the on-data-premises, not the personal mode that I know is only 64-bit, the on-data-promises gateway it has compatible with the 32-bit drivers right? Sorry for my English, I'm Brazilian.

Hi @joseroberto ,

Currently, the gateway is supported only on 64-bit Windows operating systems, here is a similar idea shared on Power BI Ideas forum at https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/17754658-provide-full-personal-ga..., I would suggest you going there and vote it.

As a workaround, we can use ETL tools to import this data source into some other data source which provides 64bit driver like SQL Server, then get data from the imported data source.

Best Regards,

Teige

Hi Teige @TeigeGao ,

Oh thanks, I didn't know this, I think it had 32-bit version.

Yes, this solution you mentioned is very good, but does this other database(sql server for example) update itself according to the original database (progress)? Because I want to leave an automated system, so I do not need to update manually.

Hi @joseroberto ,

SQL Server provides an ETL tool whose name is SSIS to import data from other source to SQL Server automatically.

Best Regards,

Teige
