Yes, that’s correct. The issue likely stems from the Gantt chart being a custom visual, which may not fully support interactions between charts like the default Power BI visuals.
Custom visuals often have limitations in their interaction behavior, depending on how they are developed. Try using some other different visual such as using a matrix visual, stacked bar chart, that might better integrate with other visuals.

- The Gantt chart in Power BI is typically a custom visual. It is not one of the default visuals included in Power BI Desktop out of the box.
- Since Gantt chart is a custom visual, check its filtering settings. The custom visuals may not fully support all Power BI interactions by default.
- Custom visuals rely on third-party development, and bugs may occur if they aren't updated frequently. Ensure it is the latest version; Custom visuals can sometimes have bugs in interaction behavior.
- Try using some other different visual e.g., a matrix or another table that might better integrate with other visuals.
