P6-Gantt Chart Visual

hello,

I am trying to use the P6-Gantt Chart Visual found in the list of the visual, to make my representation of gantt where the levels are:

> Design Package

>>>> Actual (timeline lenght 21days with % of completeness calculated from with doc received and approved compare to tot doc of the package, this means that if we receive all the docs but one is Revise and Resubmit the % is 99%)

>>>> Forecast (timeline lenght 21days)

>>>> P6 Activity A (Milestone)

>>>>>> Successor 1 (Milestone)

>>>>>> Successor 2 (Milestone)

>>>> P6 Activity B (Milestone)

>>>>>> Successor 1 (Milestone)

>>>>>> Successor 2 (Milestone)

I am trying to build all the models but I am missing something...I am new so I don't know how can I share what I have done to see why is not working the visual.

thanks for the help

thank you for the answer, at the following link I saved: PBI test

    - E_PM_KPIs_DONA the file on which I tried to build the Design Gantt

    - excel of the data needed to build it

    - original example of the visual

so what i will need is something that show:

    1st level

    > Design Packages (list is in the file E_SCHEDULE_P6_PROGRAMME sheet Design Packages but I have also already marged in the models)

    2nd level >

    Baseline  time line

    Actual time line

    Forecast time line

P6 Activity (milestone taking the end date from E_SCHEDULE_P6_PROGRAMME sheet PBI column BL finish)

    3rd level

    > Successors (milestone taking start date from E_SCHEDULE_P6_PROGRAMME sheet PBI column Bl Start)

    thanks

I would suggest you to rebuild your work using sample data and upload it gdrive/onedrive. Convert the link to accessible to everyone and share it with us. This woud help the community to go through your work and suggest you a workaround.

  • Hi Dropje

Try to replicate what the third-party visual is doing. It uses three tables: a Level table, a WBS Code table, and a Task table. Identify how you can transform your existing tables into these three tables, then replicate their columns and relationships. Once you've done that, you should be able to create the same visual.
