Gantt Chart 2.2.3 (bug?)

Hello community!

I have been experiencing some difficulty using the following visual: Gantt Chart 2.2.3 (from AppSource). I believe it is a bug:

- The parent grouping does not work for some of my tasks and the (+)/(-) buttons won't appear on my visual

- The tasks do go under the correct parent, I just can't expand or collapse it mannually.

- If I click on Expand/Collapse all it works, but I can't do it individually (see pics attached)

    • the yellow here is the parent, and the tasks belonging to it are all correct, but as you can see, I can't mannually colapse the bottom ones (the - sign is not available to do it)
    • If I click on "Collapse all", the tasks are collapsed on the correct parent, but I can't expand it mannually (the + sign is not available to do it)

There are no difference between the data from the added fields except on its values

Is anyone else facing this same issue? Is it possible to solve it somehow?

Thanks in advance

I had this same issue, where I had two columns, order number (whole number) and production step name (text). The single-row expand and collapse would only work when the production step was the parent, which was not how I wanted the visual to be.

The bug went away when the order number column was changed in Power Query to be a text column. Now the single-row expand/collapse works with order number as the parent. Since your picture shows both the parent and the task as text already, I'm not sure if this trick will work for you.

Hello! Unfortunatelly this doesn't work for me... as you noticed, my data is already text. Thanks anyway for the replay!

      Hey Janey!

No, I didn't have my problem solved. I changed some filters on my dashboard so I can see the desired info, but it works only as a partial solution (as I don't see what I actually want to see). I will send you a personal message, maybe we can discuss what can be done later.

      Thanks in advance!

I need more information to help you. But due to the nature of work, we can only reply within the post.

Can you share your file containing some fake sample data?
