Full date not in chronological order in line chart x-axis

Hello,

Sorry guys if its a double post but i've tried already the main suggestions in the previous posts, and it is still not working!

I am simply trying to show some data according to a timeline on the x-axis. My dates are the following (see pictures).

I have already checked the following:
1) the column is in "date" format
2) under "modeling" tab, the column "sent_date" is indeed sort as the "sent_date".
3) in the graph visual, the graph is sort by "sent_date" and not "date hierarchy"

any suggestions?

thanks!

@Anonymous ,

Yeah, that happens because you have missing data in that group for specific day. I replicated both scenario. Take a look at below screen shots.

@Tahreem24

Oh i see. this makes sense! thanks!

But i still dont understand why my groups are gathered whereas your points are not. in your second snap, you dont have lines since you have missing data in some dates, but at least your dates are in chronological order.

If you look at my last snap, my dates are not in chronological order. any clue on how i can fix this?

@Anonymous  can you please show me which fields you have taken in axes,Legend etc.?

we can assume the following:

campaign round: 1, 2 or 3

sent_date: the dates you used as examples

open ratio: the numbers you used as examples

@Anonymous ,

Which chart you are using currently? I guess you are using Scatter chart while I am using Line chart.

yes im using scatter chart. Im not so interested into line chart since I don't want to see a line per group. i am interested to see my data points in chronological order, but be able to distinguish right away (using color) whether its from group 1, 2 or 3.

Hi @Anonymous ,

How about the result after you follow the suggestions mentioned in my original post?Could you please provide more details about it If it doesn't meet your requirement?
