Frown error when opening Power BI Desktop (version Version: 2.137.1102.0 64-bit (October 2024)
Hi
Power BI Desktop worked well until last Friday, the 1st November. Then all the files which I try to open, gives this error and I have to "kill" the application via Task Manager. How do i fix this; the Microsoft store shows that I have the latest version.

To download previous versions of Power BI Desktop, you can visit this page:
Previous monthly updates to Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

katina , Pleae make sure there is no Windows update/patch is pending. These type of error happens because of that. Even after update if this does not work. Uninstall and install Power BI and Try again.

I checked the Windows Update, everything was fine. The uninstallation and installation helped. Thanks for the advice amitchandak.

This means - I'm totally stuck with Power BI and really appreciate your help how to make Power BI work properly again.
