Formula replaced Power BI misbehave

Good day

Power BI started to misbehave in all of my projects.

I noticed this is happening in calculated tables.

I have projects with calculated tables using UNION/SELECTCOLUMNS formula

I created various new columns in these calculated tables.

When I select a column I see the formula code

But when I click on formula bar to adjust (when needed) the formula

Then Power BI processing some (?) changes

After a  moment it renames the column with the name of the calculated table & fulfill the formula bar for this column with code I use to create this calculated table.

Please note the Power BI version is updated/the cache was cleared.

The issue persist. Formulas are disapering w/o option to revert it back.

As a temporarily solution I create the back up copy (when I work with pbix files) of every project to use it as a source of formulas to copy->paste them when columns misbehave.

  • InnaBer, I confirm that I get the same issue.

It's not related to Union() as a get the same problem when adding a new column to "DB Exp" table. It seems that PowerBI is trying to apply the previosly selected calcuation to a newly created one...

I suggest you to contact PowerBI support team so they can analyze the issue. Meanwhile you can use  Data tab on the right side of the screen for columns/tables selection, I've tested it and it works 🙂
