Format data labels in clustered column chart

Hello,

I have a question regarding formatting data label totals in a clustered column chart. One of my data labels (blue) is the count of instances and the other data label (green) is the sum. Please see graphic below:

My goal is to format the values to include commas for data labels greater that or equal to 1,000.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I think if you create a measure you should be able to adjust the formatting

Position Count  = Count(table[Position])

In my case my value is a COUNT and this seems to make it behave differently. Is there any way arround this if the value is summerized as a count. In my example you can see that the green column is the sum of the [POSITIONS] column and the blue column is the COUNT of the [POSITIONS] column. please see below:

This may just be a PowerBI problem but maybe not. Thank you all for your help!

Change the formatting of the column and change the display settings of the chart like the following:

So what everyone is saying is correct as far as calculated values go the steps are:

click the field to the right

select column tools

click the "," in format

Hello @jmansour ,

If you are referring to the data labels at the top of the bar, than what you would need to do is:

1. select the column in the fields list on the right "Payout" in my case
2. Open "Column Tools" tab in the top ribon
3. Click on the comma symbol

Let me know if you were refering to somehting else.

This is helpful but seemed to only work for the data label that was a sum(green column).. The data label that is a count (blue column) is not gaining its comma after following the steps listed above. Please see below :

Thank you for the response!

Hmm... maybe try adjusting the data format, sometime helps. Once chnaged then try to enable the thousands separator.

Hi,

to obtain this:

serpiva64_0-1646236338580.png

you need selecting the field you want to format and then click on thousand separator:
