Hi All,
I currently have an excel spreadsheet that displays various fields when an ID number is entered, please see below example.
Ideally i would like to open power bi, enter the tag number than have all of the above fields shown right away (please note I have all of the data in a spreadsheet). Is there any way I can replicate this in Power Bi, either via a visual or...

Hi, @Anonymous
It is suggested to use slicers, visual level filters, page level filters or report level filters to filter the result. If the tag number is text, you may use text filter from AppSource as below.
Table1:
As a workaround, you may also try to set a query parameter in 'Query Editor' as below.
Then you need to filter rows with the parameter like below.
Finally you may edit the parameter and click refresh button to get the result.
About slicers and filters, you may refer to the document . About query parameter, please refer to Power BI Desktop Query Parameters .
Best Regards
Allan

Hi @Anonymous
Sure you can use a slicer with search opotion for tag and Matrix visual for the rest of the fields to simulate this behavior.
@Anonymous , you can have a slicer for ID
and use the matrix with the display on row.
