Forecasting won't work!

I'm trying to get a projected revenue for the next few months, but it doesn't seem to work.

While researching, it says it has to be on a line chart, with a number and a date.  So here is the screenshot of my graph and where it won't show forecasting.  What am I doing wrong?

Year-Month = FORMAT('public view_transactions'[date].[Date], "MMM-YYYY")

Hi, @Anonymous

According to your description, I’ve also created some data to do some tests. Then I found that the forecast function will be enabled when you placed the entire Date hierarchy or the data column into the line chart(not the month part of the Date hierarchy), like this:

One blog about the guidance of “Forecasting in Power BI”

If you still have a problem, you can just upload your sample pbix file and I can help you in advance.

Thank you very much!

Hi,

Please try to use the date column, instead of using calculated column.
