Flow Map not Working - 'Unlocatable Error'
my old maps works but if i try to change the data it doesn t work
I was able to create a new map. I am using City, state, lat and long for a simple point to point route, nothing too complex.
I had to make sure in the data set to set the lat/long columns appropriately, as powerBI did not automatically recognize it. Also, make sure you do not summarize within the table.
when you say summarize within the table, can you advise. I am a little new to powerbi, sorry for the question if it seems like a obvious or silly one. Just trying to learn on my own
On the left hand side of the app, there is a table view option. Select that on the select your dataset from the right hand side. Once you are in there, you'll want to select the columns and look at the ribbon tool bar to see what format, data category and data type it is recognizing. You can then select from a drop down what type of data you want.
So on my Lat data, it is as follows:
1. Structure>Data Type>Decimal Number2. Formating>Format>General
3. Properties>Data category>Latitude
