Hallo All
I started producing a financial Model for a client, this particular fiancnial model was built of initial assumptions in excel.
To give you an example;
They want to enter the market in a specific insustry and they aim to do it as follows, lets say there are currently 16500 of this product sold in the industry per year and they aim to share in this as follows 1,2% first year, 2,4% the next and 3,6% the following year and so forth. He would then smooth out these over the months of a year and this would then form the bases of all the expenses and income surrounding these sales.
The problem is that he does not want me to use his excel for reporting, he needs me to produce this model inside power bi, because he wants to be able to change these initial assumptions in the report and not blanket changes, as in changes for selective years and then see how this changes his model.
Now I actually managed to start doing this, but the power bi file and report in power bi service became so slow becasue of the sheer amount of calculations that needs to be done that the report is basically not working.
What I want to know from you is, what is power bi capabilities to do something like this. Is there a way to produce such a report without a data source that drives your reporting, but where you have to basically produce your own data with dax and parameters?
Regards

I am not sure what desired result would you want, could you please share your sample data and desired output screenshots for further analysis? You can also upload sample pbix to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
