Hi All,
I have a 2 visualisation
1. Is top 10 donors through time for a set of specified dates
2. Breakdown of donors through time
currently if I click on a particular donor in the top 10 visual it should filter out the breakdown graph showing all giving but for some reason it only filters out on the date.
Is there a way of being able to have the breakdown graph non filtered showing all dates but the top 10 graph selected to a certain time period but both being interactive with each other?
TIA
I have4nt had a chance to look at it yet, it looks like its a solution, but as soon as I have had the chance to test it, I will mark it as solved.
Many thanks
"a particular donor in the top 10 visual " is a bar or column chart? or anything else?
Which columns do you use for two charts?
Could you show me some screenshots?
Please ensure you set the interaction among visuals correctly.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-reports-visual-interactions
1. It wont let me add screenshot or images to the message.
2. My top 10 visual is a "matrix" table, this enables me to show all the top 10 donors for a specified qtr and yr.
My second visual is a line graph which in theory should only once a giver is selected in the top 10 table the givers entire journey through time.
I have my interactions set the way I want it to, which is that the top 10 visual can change the second graph but the second graph cannot change if a user selects a time period from it.
I am stuck!
TIA
I create a sample test, please check if it fits your scenario:
when the mouse hover over the name values, it pops out a line chart where shows values changes through dates per "name".
If it is what you wanted, you could add a line chart on a report page, then make this report page as a tooltip page,
Then use the tooltip page for the table where show top n values.( in my test, it shows top 3)
Measure = RANKX(ALL(Sheet5[name]),CALCULATE(SUM(Sheet5[entry])),,DESC,Dense)
