Filtering by count for map

Hi,

I'm trying to filter some visuals (a page of a map + table, but really any visual) by a contextual count. I am making a map visual by county, but the stakeholders need to filter out counties with a low count of records (we have set a threshold). I tried creating a DISTINCTCOUNT measure, but it does not seem like it's possible to filter by that. Alternatively, I've tried creating a calculated column, but I am not getting accurate counts (like I do by just doing a count in the table).

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Matan

Hi Matan

Sounds impressive what you are trying to achieve, could you send some screenshots or a wireframe to help visual or the anonymised pbix files.

Thank you. I will work on creating a sample dataset and workbook that doesn't include any private info so that I can upload it.

In the meantime, I'm including a screenshot of two visuals: a map and a table containing the same data.

As you can see explicitly from the table and implicitly from the maps, some of the counties have tiny counts of responses 1, 2, etc.). The stakeholder would like to filter those out. This will be shared as an image in a report.

Thank you!

Hey @Anonymous ,

I have to admit that I'm not able to understand what you are looking for.

Please consider to create a pbix/xlsx that contains sample data, but still represents your data model.

Upload the file(s) to onedrive or dropbox and share the link.

Please describe the expected result by the data you provided.

Regards,

Tom
