Hi folks,
Massive newb here - need some help with filters on measures. Have provided a dummy data set below:
| Vendor | Worker Count | Month |
| 25 | Jan | |
| 30 | Feb | |
| 45 | Mar | |
| 22 | Jan | |
| 26 | Feb | |
| 33 | Mar |
I have been able make this work with a calculated column but a major pain to scale so want to flip to a measure. I would like to create a sum measure that filters by date and vendor, so far i have created a simple measure:
Worker Count = sum('fact table' [worker count])
I am struggling to now filter this by vendor and date - any tips much appreciated on the best approach?
Also, any guidance on the use of ALL, ALLEXCEPT, FILTER etc - struggling to understand the different use cases!

When you put Vendor column and the measure you created in the visual it will group the numbers per Vendor, similar if you put month there, does that meet your expectations? If you want a vendor/month specific measures then using CALCULATE may work
