Filtered default view based on user

Hi all,

is it possible to create a default filtered view based off the user that logs in?

For example, I am using RLS to filter the report based off what customer ID's the sales rep is tied to. a customer has sales in multiple Geos and theres a sales rep for each Geo. However when the reps login to the report they can slice of the different Geos throughout the cusomter. Each rep has a "home Geo" and I want to have the home geo auto filtered when they login (but still have the ability to slice to other Geos). Is this possible?

Thank you!

    Hi Anonymous ,

Yes, a default slicer is currently unavailable.

However, the temporary workaround is to create a bookmark to set up default filters.

  • Anonymous , I think you want a default slicer based on login, I doubt that is possible.

Greg_Deckler you have any idea on this? I saw a tread similar to this that you responded: "Perhaps. You might be able to do something with a table of user names, SELECTEDVALUE and USERPRINCIPLE name. Kind of like a What If parameter."
