and I think what you need is RELATED or RELATEDTABLE in the calculation. (The relationship between the two tables must already be established )

Create a new column in your table. This one created in item table using sales tables
Maxx(filter(sales,Sales[item_id]='Item'[Item ID]),Sales[Order Id])
