Filter firstdate

Hi,

I'm trying to get the firstdate() based on a particular column value

For example: FIRSTDATE('Prices'[Date], 'Prices'[Food]="Carrots")

However, firstdate does not allow filtering like the above.

What would be the best way to do this?

Thank you.

Hi

Try this.

Column = CALCULATE(FIRSTDATE(Prices[Date]),FILTER(Prices, Prices[Food]="Carrots"))

Thanks
Raj

We probably need to learn more about your data-table and if you are trying to create this as.

A simplified version might be a calculated measure

Food Date
Apples	2018-01-01
Apples	2018-02-01
Apples	2018-03-01
Bananas	2018-01-15
Bananas	2018-01-19
Bananas	2018-01-20
Carrots	2018-03-01
Carrots	2018-03-02
Carrots	2018-03-10
First Date = FIRSTDATE('Table1'[Date])
