Filter by date after date hierachy

Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked before, I could not find solution to my problem and I do not know how to search for it... your help is highly appreciated!

My dashboard has this date field

Setting

erickung_1-1643975331127.png

When I click from month to day through date hierachy, the filter option disappeared

But if I use Day only, filter function works

Before filter

After filter by clicking on a date

As this new dashboard has now 2 months worth of data, it is necessary to have date hierachy to drill down, and for the date filter to work.

Please help me, how can I set this up?

Thank you!

Eric Kung

Hi there,

For me it seems that you have the drill down functionality enabled on your visual:

BarnabasToth_1-1643981219679.png

The purpose of this function is to drill down within the selected time period to the next level only in your current selection (as opposed to going up an entire level (↑) or going down an entire level (⇊)). At the same time it also prohibits you to crossfilter other visuals with this visual. This is a turn-on/turn-off feature so if you're done drilling down to the level you wish, turn it off and crossfilter is available again.

Hope this helps.
