Filter Table Visual By Column

Hello all,

I have a visual Table in PowerBi and I'm filling that table with information from one fact table which is the following:

IdDimWord_idDimWordType_id
111
223
333
441
551
663
771
881
993
1011
1111
12103
1311

I only want to show in the Table the DimWord_id that has the DimWordType_id = 1.

Can anyone tell where and how to apply this filter/condition on table visual?

Thanks in advande and have a good day.

Rui

Hey @Anonymous ,

then why don't you put the column DimWordType_id in the visual filter and filter it to "1".

That should do it, no? Or am I missing something?

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍

Hey @Anonymous ,

there are many ways to solve that.

I think the easiest is to use the filter pane for your visual.

Just mark the visual and in the filter pane select the values you want to display:

Hello @selimovd

Thanks for the quick reply.

It is a good point but to be honest I need to filter by the column type.

There are constanlty new words inserted in the database and so for that reason I need to filter by DimWordType_id = 1. This is the real problem to me.. how to filter this.

Thanks,

Rui

Hello @selimovd ,

Well, great idea. It worked.

I'm sorry but I'm new at Power Bi so sometimes I can struggle with easy things.

Have a nice day,

Rui

Hey @Anonymous ,

no problem, we all started at one point and I know the start is difficult. Just keep going, it will become easier every day.

I'm happy it works now 😊

If you need any help, just post again in the community.

Best regards

Denis
