Dear all,
Perhaps you can help me. I'm trying to connect a SharePoint list (2013 version) to PowerBi but one list column includes text in rich format.
Solutions to report correctly the text in Power Bi are well described (as here) but the column "FieldValuesAsText" doesn't appear on the query editor.
Do you have any idea to solve my issue?
@Laosurlamontagn,
Do you enter SharePoint site root url on the built-in SharePoint list connector or create a blank query then write M code? If you use built-in SharePoint list connector, the Apiversion is 15 by default.
Regards,
Lydia
Hi Lydia,
I entered the Sharepoint site root url.
Greetings,
Gérard
Could you please describe more details about how you create the list in SharePoint site and what data you add? I will try to repro the same list as yours.
Regards,
Lydia
Hi!
First of all, many thanks for your support! It's really appreciated! I'm not an IT administrator, just a "simple" user with a good knowledge of the IT System.
SharePoint 2013 is implemented in my compagny. I've not the administrator, however, I've the "full access" right from a sub-site defined by the Sharepoint administrator.
In my case, the sites which I'm managing are located in the level 3: http://blablabla.com/subsite1/subsite2/
This list created which I want to connect to Power Bi is a "task" type (the original one). The number and column types are classical:
Greetings!
@Laosurlamontagn,
I am unable to reproduce this issue in latest version of Power BI Desktop 2.62.5222.761 64-bit (September 2018).
Do you use SharePoint List connector in Power BI Desktop September 2018 version?
Regards,
Lydia
Hi!
I'm using the last version. I found perhaps a lead, reported here:
In my case, it's "14" and changing the APIversion from 14 to 15 give me an error...
Yes,
I'm using the last version. However, I found perhaps an explanation: an API version incorrrect:
(see here)
But changing the API version do not change anything.... (I've an error) :
