Feeding data back into PowerBI

Hi all,

I have a simple matrix which shows projects and related tasks. I'm looking for a technical solution which allows a user to enter revised dates based on specific tasks of the report which are than fed back to the data set. 

I tried using an Excel file which connects to the PowerBI data set in the service and allows entering data in columns. The excel file can than be read by the report in the service, However this solution is not very elegant and has not prooven to work properly. 

Which other options are there to achieve this?
