Advocate IFeature Request: PowerBI Desktop: Option to remove local semantic model
When converting from a local semantic model to a live connection, it leaves local semantic model folder intact.
This can be removed using a workaround but it would be much more convenient if this could be done within the app.

Specifically michelsilva's response.
When developing, it is useful to use a local model and switched to a published "live connection" later.
Various posts say switching back is not possible but the workaround shows there is no reason for this to be the case.

I agree this would be a very useful enhancement, especially for development scenarios where you start with a local semantic model and later switch to a published live connection.
Since the workaround already demonstrates that this can be done manually, I would suggest raising this in the Microsoft Fabric Ideas forum as a feature request so the product team can evaluate adding this capability directly into Microsoft Power BI Desktop.
