Hello All,

Thank you in Advance for helping.

I am trying to schedule a refresh for my report. I use SQL Server as the database. I can connect to it and refresh from Power BI Dekstop, and can connect using Azure Data Studio or SSMS. When I try to sign in through service, I get this error. I have ensured that I have an on-premise gateway and right credentials

Any help is appreciated. Also I wonder if I am missing something in Privacy level for this data source or Authentication method.

Thank you,

Abhinav

Hi @AbhinavJoshi ,

It sounds like there may be an issue with the connection between the Power BI service and your SQL Server. One thing to check is that the on-premise gateway is properly configured and running. You can also try checking the firewall settings on your SQL Server to make sure that it is allowing connections from the Power BI service.

Multiple datasource credentials for one cloud source could also cause this error.
