Hi,
I have a clustered bar chart that I am using small multiples for. This is my first time using small multiples.
I am trying to figure out how to filter the number of multiples that show based on showing in the visual. In this example below I don't really care to see the last column as no data shows in it.
The page has slicers that change what will be presented. I currently have the rows and columns set as 1 row and 4 columns. When I am done I will probably make this 2 or 3 rows because some selections will return up to 12 multiples.
How can I put some type of filter on the visual to only show the number of multiples that the slicer filters produce?

Hi @glmoon5 ,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.
Thank you @maruthisp for the prompt response.
Power BI's small multiples will always reserve space for all categories in the field you have placed into the small multiples, even if the filtered data is blank.
I recommend submitting your detailed feedback and ideas through Microsoft's official feedback channels, such as the Microsoft Fabric Ideas.

Thank you for that explanation.......what about in the attached picture. Can I suppress any of the entries in the axis that do not have a value so that I do not see blanks?
Hi @glmoon5 ,
Sorry for the delay in response.
When using small multiples in Power BI, the visual automatically creates separate panels for each distinct value of the selected field. Power BI reserves space for each of these values, even if some panels end up being empty. Therefore, we cannot dynamically suppress or hide specific entries from the small multiples layout using standard Power BI functionality
You can add your detailed feed back in the ideas forum suggested above.
Thank you!!

Hi glmoon5,
I assume, by creating a DAX expression to show the number of multiples that the slicers filters produce.
Please find the pbix file, I created a DAX measure which can be used on the visual filter to filter.
FIlter Small Multiples Based on what rows and columns return.pbix

I don't think this is quite what I am looking for. I would expect to only see a multiple if it is selected in the slicer. For example if I select widget A and C I would expect for the 2nd row to not even appear.
Hi, everyone
tI would suggest adjusting the visualization settings a bit—you might achieve what you want.
