FIles under Azure Container are not visible while connecting to PowerBI(Azure Lake Storage Gen 2)

We have different type of files(xlsx, csv, parquet) in one of the sub folders in our Azure blob storage container(Private).

While connecting to blob using Azure Lake Storage Gen 2 from PowerBI desktop, the folders and subfolders inside the container are visible. Whereas the files inside the folder are not visible.

Did anyone faced this problem? Any suggestions on this?

Help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks,

Hi @Bhanu_VA ,

Did you select the CDM Folder View when you connect to Azure Lake Storage Gen 2. Maybe you can try File System View to get the files.

What is CDM Folder?

Hi @v-chenwuz-msft ,

Thanks for the reply.

I had thousands of files in my container. When I use File system view, powerBI doesn't allow me to select the need files for loading into Power Query. Moreover when I use File System View all the files are getting loaded into Power Query(even unnecessary files are getting loaded).

So File System View doesn't work like the CDM. Anyother idea?

Thanks,

Bhanu_VA

@Bhanu_VA , Once you load a folder, is it showing the file under that in power query or not?

Once I load a folder. No, it's not showing any files under the folder.
