Extracting text of a specific format

Hello everyone

I've been working on a text extraction exercise from some manually entered data to automate some reports.

I am trying to extract a specific format of: Letter - six numbers e.g E-000000

Does anyone have an idea? Delimeters did not work properly and the amount of data is too big to do the filtering manually.

Thanks!

@Anonymous , I think "-" can work as splitter here.

add a new column in power query

Text.Middle([Column1], Text.PositionOf([Column1],"-")-1, 😎
