External sharing setting enabled, still not working
Hey jcolby
what exactly does not work?
According to this article it's just a warning: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-share-dashboards
Is the Share button disabled?
Please check if the email address is added to your azure active directory as a guest user.
Regards,
Tom
Hi TomMartens, thanks for your reply.
Correct, the share button is disabled/doesn't show.
It is a report and not a dashboard. I did not know they also needed to be azure ad guest user hmm. I'll look into that, kinda more than I want to do other than give access to this 1 power bi report.

Hey jcolby ,
as soon as the user has been added to the AAD an invitation will be sent to the user, when the user accepts the invitation, the button will automagically be enabled 🙂

Tom

Hey TomMartens ,
I ended up instead working around this issue. I created a new workspace for this report and published it as an app. It allowed me to share the app to external users just fine, but still not when trying directly from the report.

Are there any error if you click the "share button" ,or the button just cannot be clicked? Could you please check if this also happen in dashboard or other reports in the new workspace?
Best regards,
