External Client App Share
Hi,
I was tasked to setup an environment to share client dashboarding developed internally with clients via internal Power BI services. So, using Fabric DW and publish to an app is what we looking to do, but our clients are external and some might not even have azure.
1. Previously we had to create a workspace per client and use the Azure B2B but that exposed a workspace per client and external client seeing the entire data source files etc and not an App. Is there no better and simpler way for clients to connect and use App not workspace?
2. Can i have one app for all clients based on RBL for client on app?
3. But seamlessly, i know i cant embed the reports in the product as i would need Power BI i think team license. but is there no way the app once permission pops into the client's service as an app
Please Help, this will be a game changer for our organization

Also, if the client does not have Power BI, could they access the published app via free Power BI services/link etc?
or does the user need to be added to azure for b2b then the app is still an embedded app into client services, and the once off work is mostly my side on my azure, but in azure is that extra costs etc?
still hoping there's a more modern seamless way - tayloramySuper User
Hi icassiem,
If you want external users to view reports, there are three options:
1: make the reports public to the general internet, that way anyone and everyone can access them. Probably not ideal.2: invite them as B2B guests in your tenant and share the report with them like you would with internal users
3: Develop a web app and embed the reports using Power BI Embedded.

You can probably create this app as a Fabric App if that's supported in your region

tayloramy thank you very much
I am trying to develop an app, that regardless of the visualizer the dashboards are available to clients. Because the B2B requires users to have Pro license from Fabric published App, i am investigating "Azure Static Web Apps SSO" chatgpt help :) but i have no clue, because there's no finance too and we can't purchase license for users etc
thoughts please, anyone have experience in this. the other option was power pages but that's at a cost $200, i barely got fabric F4 approved :), my small fabric F4 is limiting to open for clients etc. i thought Power BI/fabric had option to create wep page to embed almost the full dashboard interactively still? Any examples or links to help please

FOr full dashboard interactivity, you need to explore Power BI Embedded. There is a cost, but that is the way to do it.
