Hi @Bhavesh123 ,
This error occurs when your #"Sample File" is type Table and not type Binary.
In my sample data, if I want to use 1.xlsx as the sample file, then lick "Binary", it will generate the following steps, we need to delete the step "Imported Excel Workbook" to make it type Binary.
Then we can reference it successfully in the M code.
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Winniz

I have exactly the error and when I tried to delete the Import Excel Workbook step, it came up with this error:
It turned out perfect
How do you fix this same issue when dealing with a SharePoint list?
Good afternoon
Unfortunately for us I am not getting to follow the steps you describe satisfactorily 😞
I delete the imported excel step and it keeps generating an error for me.
Additionally, where are you adding the M code? In the query / step "Origin"? You employ a custom function from what I see, what is this function?
Greetings and a thousand thanks in advance for the guidance,
I hope we will be able to resolve this issue.
Can you please give further details,
- what is the data source that you are using
- Details steps of your Power Query code.
