Is there a way to "export" all teh Measures/DAX code to a text file from a PBIX file?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Anonymous ,
You could export to a Power BI Templates file and open it with text.
Here is the document for your reference.

Steps to export measures from Power BI file.
1. Save the Power BI file as Power BI Template (.pbit)
2. Run the PowerShell script mentioned in this article to export all measures and calculated column expressions from the Power BI template file.
Open DAX Studio -> on left hand table pane -> right on any table ->Define All Measure(All Tables)
You will have all the measure in the text format on the right hand pane
super helpful
That worked a treat. just delving into Dax Studio Now. Looks pretty exicting that and Tabular Editor.
Thanks

Hello @Anonymous
Take a look at the Vertipaq Analyzer. It is an excel plug-in from the SQLBI.com team that can hook into a model and extract information and measures / calculated column formulas.

I will download this add-in.. can you comment on how this relates to a PBIX file that contains the measures?
thanks,
Ray B.
They have directions on the site about how to modify the connection string so you can point it to your model.
