Export Underlying data option does not show up

I am working in Power BI Desktop and want to export underlying data from a visualization.  These vizualiations are just in development and have not been published/shared.

Power BI does NOT give me the following "Export data" window that lets me check the underlying data option.

But instead goes directly to the "Save As" file directory screen, only exporting summarized data.

I have set the Export Data option "Allow end users to export both summarized and underlying data from the service".

I am sure I am missing some other setting, but I have not yet found it.

Any suggestions?

Thank you ,

Mark

  • "In Power BI online, if your visualization has an aggregate (one example would be if you changed Count to average, sum or minimum), you'll have two options: Summarized data and Underlying data. In Power BI Desktop, you'll only have the option for Summarized data"

  • Hi Anonymous

You may find it under 'From a visualization in a report' part as below picture.
