Hi @Gurpreetsingh1 ,
You're currently exporting your Power BI report as a PDF using Power Automate and sending it via Outlook, which is great. However, Power BI doesn’t natively support exporting a snapshot (image) of the report page through Power Automate. The “File > Export” option you may be thinking of only works in Power BI Desktop as a manual process and cannot be automated via Power Automate or accessed through the Power BI Service.
To include a snapshot of the report in your email along with the PDF, the best workaround is to use the Power BI REST API. This allows you to export the report page as a PNG image programmatically. You’ll need to register an Azure AD app with the necessary permissions (like Report.Read.All), call the ExportToFile API with the format set to PNG, and once the export is ready, download the image and include it in your Outlook email—either as an attachment or embedded in the email body.
If setting up the REST API is too complex or not feasible in your environment, another option is to use Power Automate Desktop to open the report in a browser or Power BI Desktop and take a screenshot of the visible report page. That image can then be included in your automated email. This method mimics the manual “File > Export” action but comes with limitations such as needing a machine to stay logged in and running the flow.
Currently, those are the practical options. There’s no built-in, one-click solution in Power Automate to export a Power BI report as an image like you can with PDFs.
