I would like to do exactly what the poster of this questions wants to do (link above). It is shown as solved but I do not understand the answer given.
I would like to be able to type in an address or select a city in the United States. Set a radius around that point, then export that data into excel. The data needs to filter out everything else not within that radius.
I do not know the Lat and longitudes but I think I could extract them from the addresses. I do mean a physical distance, I will look into a Great Circle computation.
What Latitude are you on? As you know longitude lines are not equidistant, latitude lines are. So when you say "radius", do you mean physical distance (if yes then you would need to do a Great Circle computation)?
