Exploring Power BI's Data Modeling and Transformation for Tableau Developers

Greetings Power BI Community,

As a Tableau developer with limited SQL knowledge, I'm keen to delve into Power BI's data modeling and transformation capabilities. In a recent endeavor to migrate from Tableau to Power BI, I've encountered queries regarding Power BI's data model and data transformation features.

Could you please provide insights into how Power BI's data modeling and transformation functionalities cater to users with limited SQL knowledge, such as Tableau developers? I'm particularly interested in understanding how Power BI simplifies these processes and whether it offers intuitive tools or functionalities to facilitate seamless data modeling and transformation tasks.

Your expertise and guidance will immensely assist me in navigating Power BI's capabilities and effectively transitioning from Tableau.

Thank you for sharing your insights and expertise.

Warm regards,
Manoj Prabhakar

PowerBI integrates the Power Query Editor, a powerful data cleaning and transformation tool. It interfaces with the user to execute complex data-prep works without writing a line of SQL code.
You can:
- Filter rows
- Convert and change data types.
- Merge and append queries
With the formula language known as M, turn the data into custom columns.
Interface user regulations are done through a user-friendly interface where steps are recorded as actions in a way that can be edited or removed. Accordingly, data preparation tasks become intuitive and are error-prone.

Power BI user interface is built with accessibility in mind, where the focus is on drag-and-drop functionality for creating reports and dashboards. You can :

-Switch easily between data modeling, report building and data transformation tasks without the need to write complex queries or code.
-Utilize various visualization and analytical tools to boost the models data analytical capabilities.
