I have 2 charts one heat map and other one as matrix
In heat map I have used departments and count of students and in a matrix I have created a 2 column hierarchy with the department and sub-branches and added count of students in values section.
My requirement is If any user clicks on the departments section in the heat map the related sub branches should be expanded in the matrix i.e; expanding the hierarchy
and if the user again clicks on the same department it should return back to normal.
Is there any possible way to do this.
Thanks for your help in advance

You can achieve it with bookmarks by saving a state where the matrix is expanded, but the navigation would be kind of weird for the user as it would need to click the department data point and then a button to trigger the bookmark (you can call it "Expand"). To Collapse, same situation, bookmark with a button.
Alternatively, you can train your users on how to expand/collapse a matrix.
