Hello everyone,
I have a basic question about Excel and Power Bi. I have a calculation in Excel with project data like customers, products, prices, volumes and pivot tables with exchange rates and costs for product features (which can be added to the products by selecting them). Is it possible to do the calculations in Excel and just display it as a chart with Power BI? That you can virtually see which product was offered at what price (minus the cost of certain features for comparability) at what time, in EUR or USD? Just set the filters and everything in Excel and that can be generated from it a chart? Or is it easier to use Excel as a pure data repository and do the calculations/analysis in Power bi? I unfortunately have little to no experience with Power BI/databases and 3 months to implement something.
A short response would be fine, thanks.

Hi @Anonymous ,
You can easily import Excel workbooks that contain Power Query queries, Power Pivot models, and Power View worksheets into Power BI Desktop. Power BI Desktop automatically creates reports and visualizations based on the Excel workbook. Please find the following official documentation for the details.

@Anonymous , You can only import power pivot calculations from Excel to power. Rest is not.
You can create these in power bi, you can ask questions here with data and output. Members will help.
